Basic research interests: the initiation and regulation of Th2-type immune responses with reference to mast cells and oxidative stress and the molecular mechanisms involved in interleukin-4 production.Other Information Senior Registrar in Renal Medicine at Addenbrooke’s Hospital 1.7.90 to 30.9.91. Promoted to Hon Consultant status 1.10.91. Fellowship extended by one year to 31.12.94. Appointed University Clinical Lecturer from 1.1.95. Foundation Professor of Renal Medicine, St George’s Hospital Medical School from 1.10.95 Elected a Member of the Institute, July 1995.
